Captain Rayford Chew and first mate Carolyn Corbin have invited six BSSC students aboard the Schooner Tyrone during the 2026 Windjammer Days.
The students will board the Tyrone on Monday, June 22 for three nights and four days of real-time
sailing and marine science. While aboard the Schooner the students will learn about seamanship and boat handling, coastal navigation, skills needed to safely traverse the waters of Maine and gain a better understanding of the ocean waters they sail and the impact it has on the creatures that make their home in it.
The total program cost is $3,840 or $640/student. For information about how you can become a Sponsor please email Pauline Dion at pauline.dion@boothbayseaandsciencecenter.org
Schooner Tyrone creates a lifetime of memories and friendships, instills lifelong skills, and helps BSSC to continue to realize its mission.
