Schooner Tyrone experience returns for a 3rd season

Schooner Tyrone BSSC Crew 2025: Amelia Lang, Blythe Miller, Lettie Wilson, Luca Fuentes, Charles Record, Emmett Record, Captain Rayford Chew, first mate Carolyn Corbin

Captain Rayford Chew and first mate Carolyn Corbin have invited six BSSC students aboard the Schooner Tyrone during the 2026 Windjammer Days.

The students will board the Tyrone on Monday, June 22 for three nights and four days of real-time
sailing and marine science. While aboard the Schooner the students will learn about seamanship and boat handling, coastal navigation, skills needed to safely traverse the waters of Maine and gain a better understanding of the ocean waters they sail and the impact it has on the creatures that make their home in it.
