Children attending the Boothbay Sea and Science Center (BSSC) 2025 summer season program must have received two weeks in advance of their first session all childhood immunizations appropriate for their age
- The BSSC follows the CDC guidelines regarding the COVID-19 prevention (https://www.cdc.gov/covid/prevention/index.html).
- In general, BSSC requires that if a child is sick, shows symptoms of a respiratory illness or tests positive for Covid-19 they must be kept at home until they are no longer symptomatic, and the Executive Director is notified.
- Additionally, if a child becomes sick while at BSSC, parents or guardians will be notified and asked to pick-up the child as soon as possible.
- BSSC will recommend that all staff obtain the current COVID-19 vaccination.
