Amidst the bitter cold of a Maine winter it may seem that nothing is growing, but in the cold waters of Maine’s coast seaweed is thriving! We checked recently on how our sugar kelp was fairing in our Clarks Cove farm and here is the result:
For comparison, the photo below shows how small the seaweed was when we first planted it in December:
