On Saturday, July 31, we raised more than $6,000 with our Midsummer fundraiser featuring the classical sounds of the Halcyon String Quartet and the videography of Luke Fatora. The event, titled “Melody in Motion”, celebrating our land and sea with the Halcyon String Quartet, was presented live at The Shipyard in Boothbay Harbor and livestreamed as well for supporters who purchased remote tickets. Luke’s videography of life and activity on the Damariscotta River was fused with music from Halcyon to create a truly memorable experience for the audience.
We want to thank our supporters including Bristol Marine at the Shipyard in Boothbay Harbor which donated the use of Yellow Shed No. 5 for the live event, as well as sponsors Tindall & Callahan, Knickerbocker Group, Bob & Kate Horgan, J. Edward Knight, Nathaniel S. Wilson Sailmaker, The Thistle Inn, Wayne Closson Landscaping, RW Perkins Construction, Blake’s Boatyard, Boothbay Harbor Country Club, Marden Builders, Footbridge Brewery, Five Gables Inn and Bath Savings.
We’d also like to thank local businesses that contributed goods and services to the event including Page’s Septic Service, East Boothbay General Store, Mine Oyster, and Eventide Specialties.
